Dedicated to putting 'life' back into the 'wild', SEWH is a
wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and public advice charity. We care for
sick and injured wildlife and aim to release animals back into the wild.
No injured or sick animal is turned away, so the hospital operates 24
hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, staffed only by dedicated volunteers. SEWH
relies entirely on donations.
We deal with
ALL injured, orphaned or sick
wildlife, including foxes, badgers, hedgehogs, squirrels, deer, swans,
ducks, geese and any other birds, frogs, toads, lizards, snakes.
In fact anything that lives wild in the British countryside or our
towns. We cover a wide area across much of Essex, East and North London and
North Kent from our hospital which is based in Orsett, Essex (just 5
minutes from Lakeside Shopping Centre).

We have at
last been granted planning permission for the new Hospital and
Wildlife education centre
We are now ready to embark upon the huge project to build
a new hospital and education centre. The new centre will give us bigger
and better facilities and enable us to keep pace with the demands we
currently face. Look on the Photos & Gallery pages
for some of the animals we have treated and help us build much bigger
and better facilities to help, treat and rehabilitate more wild animals
This project is likely to cost us at least a massive £500,000 (Half a
Million pounds) and we need to raise a lot of this from charitable
